Here are the expected results:

Sinus Rhythm: It means that you have a normal heart rate. But if you feel any discomfort, you need to see a doctor.

A normal ECG Report on your Fitbit Charge 5 looks like this.

Atrial Fibrillation(AFib): If your Activity Tracker shows Atrial Fibrillation, you need to consult your doctor as soon as possible. It means that you have an abnormal heart rythem, which can lead to a stroke or heart attack if not treated on time.

Inconclusive: This means that Fitbit has a hard time detecting your heart Rhythm because your heart is beating more than 120 beats or less than 50 beats per minute. Stress, recent exercise, alcohol use, infection, etc., are some common factors that can lead to an inconclusive reading. Also, you must contact your doctor immediately if you have discomfort.

1. Does Fitbit Charge 5 have a blood pressure monitor?

No. Fitbit Charge 5 does not have a blood pressure monitoring feature. Currently, Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Watch 4, and Watch 3 are my top recommended smartwatches with blood pressure monitoring features.

2. Does Charge 5 have an oxygen sensor?

Yes. Fitbit Charge 5 has a built-in SpO2 sensor to measure the average blood oxygen level at night. This means that it does not support real-time blood oxygen monitoring, and you need to wear it while sleeping to get your average SpO2 reading the next day. Because of this reason, I do not recommend Fitbit Charge 5 if you need an activity tracker with an on-demand SpO2 monitoring feature.

3. Does Fitbit ECG require a premium subscription?

No. Fitbit Charge 5 ECG does not require a premium subscription. I have been using Fitbit Charge 5 for the past few months without Fitbit Premium and using ECG features without any issues.

Final Words

I hope now you know how to set up and record ECG with your Fitbit Charge 5. If you are looking for a cheap ECG monitoring smartwatch or fitness tracker, the Fitbit Charge 5 is the ideal choice for you. It is the only FDA Approved ECG monitoring activity tracker you can buy for under $200 in 2022. Plus, it also comes with other important health tracking features such as irregular heart rate alerts, blood oxygen level monitoring, stress level monitoring, etc.
